I recommend that you use the Docker-compose install and reverse proxy it using Apache or Nginx and let thos handle the SSL stuff. Your SSL cert has nothing to do with Rocket. Also Riot's direct calls are easier to engage. Rocket's mobile app relies on push notifications. I use Synapse/Riot mainly because the Fdroid (non Gplay ) builds can sync in the background.

This works okay but we would prefer if there is a way to make voice calls without an extra Jitis instance or app. We also installed a Jitsi instance for our current Rocket Chat server and linked them together. We don`t have real senstivie data we share, we just want to be private and would prefer a good E2EE encryption for text (and if possible calls).ģ) Besides chatting and sending files, we mainly need voice calls.
